It took us a while, but we finally finished it! Too bad the series ended the way it did, but it could have been worse. I'm probably not going to be picking up anymore projects under Kumori. For those of you who don't know, I actually work with Maigo and I am translating a bunch of really cool series over there.

Thank you for the new release! But since as there seems to be extras left in the series, BG can't be labelled as '(end)' right? @_@;;
ReplyDeleteJust because there are extras doesn't mean a series' main plot-line hasn't finished. So yes, it is okay to mark this series as ended. This is a very normal practice in manga. These extra chapters only appeared in the volumes, not the magazine releases anyway.
DeleteThank you very much :)

ReplyDeletewhat does the top panel mean? did she end up saving her parents? what do the characters on the uncle's phone say?
It says all about financing. I actually just the letterer forgot to remove the Japanese on the top left. It's supposed to say 'home' on the cell phone. We can assume from this that she probably did call her parents and probably did save them.
DeleteThanks very much for finishing up this series! I don't know what you're translating over at Maigo, but since I read several of their titles there's a good chance I've seen your work with them. :)
ReplyDeleteTaiyou no Ie, O/A, Boku ni Koisuru Mechanical, Kekkon Yubiwa Monogatari and Katsute Kami datta... :p
DeleteThanks for your work. Do you think you'll ever go back and do the specials at all?
ReplyDeleteWell, I was on the fence...
DeleteI decided that I didn't have the time for it in lieu of work, school and my other manga projects. However, I am getting a very overwhelming response (some highly negative ;[) of people who really do want me to do them. It's just that translating actual writing is way more time-consuming than manga translation...
Still haven't really decided, but I think I'll have a better idea after finals are over.
Thanks for your great work! I know it is simply a coincidence of timing, but I was really happy to check in the day after my birthday and see the main series completed. I will be sure to check out your other work. Thanks again.
ReplyDeleteWhen there are so many people in the world, you're bound to release on someone's birthday-- it's just nice when you can release on the birthday of someone reading the series. Happy cakeday! Too bad the series ended so abruptly.
DeleteJust dropping by to say thanks for the translations, glad to see that entirety of the series. Appreciate the work and if you do decide to translate the omakes, will definitely be looking forward to those too.
ReplyDeleteThanks for finishing this story!
ReplyDeleteDo you have any intention to do the "post chapter 17" short-story like part? I heard that there was something there, but it is more text than manga...
